Time is flying by....

This year (and this semester for that matter) is flying by..... where is the time going!?!?!

Seems like just yesterday I was celebrating new years by banging pots and pans on the front porch by myself because my family was already asleep....

It seems like just yesterday I was spending my valentines day with two of my closest friends.... having what turned out to be the greatest valentines to date!

Spring was my best friend's wedding... fast forward to the summer... starting off with Sarah Boyd's baptism, lazy days at the lake, family vacation to the mountains, my big trip across the big pond....starting my last year of school...Fall. I met an incredible guy who keeps totally rocking my socks off and has me excited to see where our relationship goes..... Sarah Boyd's First Birthday (and Chad's 30th Birthday).

Now here we are. A little more than two weeks from Thanksgiving (one of my favorite holidays because I have SO much to be thankful for!), 3 weeks from my final review, 4 weeks from exam week... and then Christmas break! Where has this semester gone? It is flying by!

They say time flies when you are having fun... I am clearly having a LOTS of fun! I am so blessed to have incredible friends and family who I totally dont deserve but love more than I can ever let them know, I have this great opportunity to pursue my dream of being an architect, and I totally love living each day full on and all out!!! Life is great!

Here are a few recent pictures....Sarah Boyd's birthday party!! In the next few weeks I will be doing different things and get more pictures! :-)

Valentines

So we all know that yesterday was valentines day. I usually dread valentines. Typically I am home alone while my friends go out with their significant others. Unfortunately it usually turns in to a pity party for one. This year I was somewhat dreading the holiday... not because I wanted it to turn into a pity party, but as much as I try to be 100% content being single, many days I wish I had a significant other. So this year, I decided since my roommate was going to NYC with her boyfriend, that I was going to try to do something fun and not just be home alone. Two of the girls who I have gotten to know in studio were free for the evening (one's husband is backpacking in south America and the other's significant other was in town last weekend from Va, so was not going to be here this weekend) so we decided to do a simple dinner and movie at my place. As much as I love entertaining, I decided to make a special evening of it as a surprise. I set the table with my red place mats, tied hot pink and light pink ribbons on the chandelier, and then put candy conversation hearts in my big candle bowl thing (kind of like a hurricane that goes around a candle, but it looks more like an apothecary jar... it probably has an official name that I just done know.) I then got little boxes of whitman's chocolates that were wrapped in cute valentines paper that I put at each place. I made beef stroganoff for dinner with a nice salad and bread. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and great conversation over dinner. Then for dessert, I surprised them by making molten chocolate cakes with homemade whipped cream. (i will admit that I cooked them a little too long, so they were a little more cake-y and little less molten-y, but still very good!) Christine brought champagne and strawberries. So we added the strawberries to the chocolate cakes. It was perfect! Then after dinner we enjoyed a girly movie (Maid of Honor) and enjoy the champagne. It became the best valentines day I have ever had!

I only wish I had gotten some pictures!!!
